Giving

We believe that God has provided His people, the body of Christ, with all the Spiritual gifts and abilities and material resources needed to do the work of His Kingdom. Therefore God expects us to be faithful, wise and generous in the way we use these resources.

We encourage those who are part of the Peel Street Church of Christ family to be generous in giving to the work of the Kingdom of God. We do not apologise for this as we believe that giving is a Biblical principle that all Christians should commit to. The amount that you give is between you and God, and no one should feel pressured into giving. We ask that you prayerfully think about this and that you will find the giving.

As a church, we believe strongly in the biblical principle of tithing that we tithe 10% of our general offerings each month and give that amount to missions such as Samaritan’s Purse, Bible Society, Leprosy Mission, Scripture Union, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Global Mission partners and Local Community Group like the Soup Bus.

To assist you in your tithing and giving to the work of God here at Peel Street, we provide a number of different ways to give.

Bequests

A bequest to Peel Street Church of Christ is a way of impacting people’s lives and leaving a lasting legacy when you pass away. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (MSG)

6 Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. 7 I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.
